چکیده
Phytochemical and antioxidant evaluation of ethanolic extracts Hedranthera barteri leaves is an anti-inflammatory agent which exhibits both hyposecretive cytoprotective effects. The aim this study to evaluate the phytochemical screening capacity using female white albino rats. Ethanolic extraction Barteri was done 70% ethanol. sub-acute toxicity extract Wister rats were monitored results Glutathion (GSH) concentration revealed that (p<0.05) there no significant difference between different concentrations chlomphene citrate compared control group. Results superoxide dismutase (SOD) showed (p>0.05) 100mg/kg 200mg/kg with Also, result catalase (CAT) p>0.05 a However, p<0.05 clomiphene group malonaldehyde (MDA). above indicated capable scavenging free radicals. did not show signs or mortality. presence phenols, alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, phlobatanin terpenoids may be responsible for activities extracts.

Antidepressant and Anxiolytic Potentials of Dichloromethane Fraction from Hedranthera barteri
The dichloromethane fraction of Hedranthera barteri (DMHBR), a common medicinal plant, was investigated in animal models of depression and anxiety in mice. Graded doses (25-200mg/kg p.o. bw) of DMHBR reduced the immobility time with significant effects produced by 50mg/kg (43.7%), 100mg/kg (45.6%) and 200mg/kg (31.5%) in the tail suspension test (TST) and by 100mg/kg (66.3%) in forced swimming ...
